Hunan Vocational and Technical College of Finance and Economics was founded in 1958. It is a full-time public general higher education school headed by the Hunan Provincial Department of Education and sponsored by the Hengyang Municipal People’s Government. The college is located in Hengyang, a famous historical and cultural city, adjacent to the East High-speed Railway Station and the railway station, with convenient transportation. The campus is surrounded by mountains and rivers and has a beautiful environment. It is a provincial "garden-style unit". The college has a long history of running a school and a profound background. In 2016, it was established as the construction unit of Hunan Provincial Excellent Higher Vocational College. It is an important base for Hunan Province's exemplary (backbone) higher vocational colleges, Hunan financial management talents and industrial technical skills, and Hengyang Hyundai The service industry (finance, trade and finance) and Hengyang advanced equipment manufacturing are two leading units of the vocational education group.
There are 661 faculty members in the college, including 3 doctors, 162 masters, 15 teachers with senior titles, 176 teachers with associate titles and above, and 85.3% of teachers with double teacher qualifications. The college has 6 departments, including accounting department, mechanical and electrical engineering department, economics and trade department, electronic information department, automobile engineering department, and modern logistics department. There are currently 22 majors. The modern enterprise financial management professional group is a provincial-level demonstration specialty group, accounting, marketing, numerical control technology and industrial robots are the central financial support majors, and the accounting major is a provincial-level demonstration specialty, characteristic majors and productive internships in vocational colleges. In the training (teacher certification training) base, accounting and mold design and manufacturing are provincial-level boutique majors, and mold design and manufacturing are provincial-level pilot majors for the connection of vocational and high vocational education.
The college actively promotes international cooperation and exchanges, and has established friendly cooperative relations with 4 universities in the United States, Australia, New Zealand and other countries and regions. Currently, it has signed diploma, undergraduate and master degrees with Central Queensland University in Australia, New Zealand Business School and Lincoln University. International cooperation agreement; successfully carried out the summer paid internship program for students to the United States; introduced the U.S. Certified Management Accountant (CMA) professional qualification system and curriculum standards; in 2017, it was selected as the "High-end Skilled and Applied Talents Joint Training 100 Ten Thousands of Exchange Program" project colleges.
