  The school has a long history


Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is located in Changsha, a famous historical and cultural city in China. It is a key undergraduate university in Hunan Province. It is the first batch of universities in the country to establish national key disciplines and the first batch of Chinese medicine universities to recruit doctoral students, international students, and students from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. . The school was founded in 1934 and was named Hunan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine at that time. In 1960, it was reorganized as a general higher education college, Hunan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2002, Hunan Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine merged with Hunan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2006, it was renamed Hunan after the approval of the Ministry of Education. The University of Traditional Chinese Medicine has a history of more than 80 years. There are two campuses including Pu and Dongtang, covering an area of 1393 acres.
