The Department of Science and Technology of Hunan University of Technology is an independent college founded by Hunan University of Technology according to a new system and a new model. The College of Science and Technology of Hunan University of Technology was established in 2001 with the approval of the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Hunan Province. It is one of the first batch of independent colleges confirmed by the country. The college is located in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province, an important industrial town in the South, which is known as the "Power Valley of China". The college is located in the old campus of Hunan University of Technology, covering an area of more than 800 acres, with green trees and a beautiful environment. The one-time employment rate of 2017 graduates reached 89.67%, and the employment rate of 2018 graduates reached 90%, ranking among the forefront of similar institutions in Hunan Province. The college has created all conditions to encourage students to enter postgraduate studies.
