Chuanshan College of South China University is a full-time undergraduate independent college approved by the Hunan Provincial People's Government in August 2001 and the first batch of confirmation by the Ministry of Education in 2004. It is a full-time undergraduate independent college organized by the University of South China in accordance with the new mechanism and new model. Its hosting university Nanhua University is a distinctive comprehensive university with more than 38,000 students and a 59-year history of running a school. It has the right to confer bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, and has a post-doctoral research mobile station that can recruit foreign countries. Foreign students and recommended excellent undergraduates are exempted from examinations to study for master’s and doctoral degrees. They are the outstanding engineers and doctors approved by the Ministry of Education. They are the national innovation and entrepreneurship training base for college students. They are the reserve officers of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (Navy). The selection and training base is a batch of undergraduate enrollment colleges approved by the Hunan Provincial People's Government. The college enrolls students nationwide, and the enrollment plan is included in the enrollment plan of ordinary colleges and universities. There are currently more than 5,000 students in the school. The college has 41 undergraduate majors, covering eight disciplines including science, engineering, medicine, literature, law, art, economics and management. The college has five departments and one center, sharing the strong faculty and high-quality teaching resources of Nanhua University.
