Shuda College is organized by Hunan Normal University. It was established with the approval of the Hunan Provincial People’s Government in August 2001 and was approved by the Ministry of Education in January 2004. It implements a new school-running mechanism and model, aiming to train to adapt to the country and Hunan Province. The college has 7 departments (departments), including the Department of Grammar and Law, Department of Economics and Management, Department of Science and Engineering, Department of Arts, Department of Foreign Languages, Department of Medicine, and Department of Public Courses. The majors offered are all branded majors and characteristic majors of Hunan Normal University, covering 10 disciplines, including literature, history, science, engineering, teaching, law, economics, management, art, and medicine, and 50 undergraduate majors. College enrollment is included in the national general college enrollment plan, which is a national plan for enrollment. The college currently has more than 6,800 students, and its school-running strength ranks among the top independent colleges in the province.
