Hubei University of Arts and Science is a full-time two-undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. It was established in June 2003 as a multidisciplinary general undergraduate independent college for national enrollment. At present, the school has 38 undergraduate and junior college majors, with nearly 6000 students. The school is located in Xiangyang, a famous historical and cultural city with 2,800 years and a charming Chinese city. One, geographical location
The college is located in Xiangnan University Town, No. 28 Yinji East Street, Xiangcheng District, with Huangjiawan Scenic Area in the north, Provincial Highway 305, Jingxiang Expressway exit and China Crape Myrtle Garden in the south. There are 8 and 25 buses at the entrance of the college. Station, a 90-meter-wide, two-way 8-lane high-grade highway directly leads to the city center, with a superior geographical location and convenient transportation.
2. School scale
The design scale of the college degree education is 30,000 people, the planned land area is 3,000 mu, and the total investment is 3.65 billion yuan. One-time planning, implemented in phases, and the construction period of the first phase is 3-6 years. The first phase covers an area of 634 acres, with an investment of about 1 billion yuan, and a planned construction area of 360,000 square meters. 220,000 square meters have been completed and put into use. Currently, the school building can accommodate 8,000 students. The second phase uses about 2500 mu of land, with a construction area of 650,000 square meters, and an investment of about 2.55 billion yuan. After the college is fully completed, it can accommodate nearly 30,000 teachers, students and entrepreneurs. The total scale of the school's land occupation and the total building area have reached the standards set by the Ministry of Education.
In September 2012, most of the first phase of the new campus of the college was completed. The first batch of students moved from the old campus to the new campus on May 27, 2013. So far, the number of students has grown to nearly 6,000.
Three, hardware facilities
The architectural design of the new campus of the college is in the style of Han and Tang Dynasties. The open door is made of milky white exterior walls, gray-blue roof tiles, white marble surface tiles, and is supplemented by Han and Tang cultural carvings, which is solemn and elegant. The college relies on the strong faculty and high-quality educational resources of the Hubei College of Arts and Sciences, the parent university, and has laid a solid foundation for ensuring the quality of teaching and improving the professionalism of students.
