Wuhan Engineering Vocational and Technical College is a full-time general higher vocational college approved by the Hubei Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. With the growth of the mission of China's iron and steel power, the college has grown into a comprehensive higher vocational college integrating higher vocational education and on-the-job training, concentrated vocational education (advanced technical school), and adult continuing education after more than 60 years of development.
The main campus of the college is located in Wuhan, the capital city of nine provinces. The three campuses cover an area of 1,035 acres. The library has a paper collection of more than 830,000 volumes, and the campus network has achieved full coverage.
Relying on the abundant resources of China Baowu, the college adheres to the school-running characteristics of pre-service and post-service education integration. It has a team of 745 full-time and part-time teachers who are diligent and dedicated to education. The college currently has more than 12,000 students, including the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the School of Information Engineering, the School of Civil Engineering, the School of Economics and Trade, the School of Automobile and Material Engineering, the School of Continuing Education, the Graphic Information Center, and the management training, engineering technology training, and skills Training center (skill appraisal center) and many other teaching entities, with 107 on-campus experimental training rooms supporting professional practice, and Zhanjiang Iron and Steel, Baosteel Desheng, Ningbo Baoxin, Shennan Circuit, Wuhan Jingdong, Wuhan Haier and other enterprises Cooperated to build 161 off-campus training bases.
The college has comprehensively strengthened the construction of professional groups connected with the industrial chain, with a total of 39 majors for enrollment and registration, including 2 majors supported by the central government, 1 national backbone major, 3 provincial key majors, and 5 provincial characteristic majors.
