Xinxiang Institute of Engineering (formerly Henan Institute of Science and Technology), founded in 2003, is a full-time private general undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education and has the right to grant bachelor's degrees. In 2021, it will be transformed into an independent private undergraduate college with the approval of the State Council's educational administration department, and will be renamed Xinxiang Institute of Engineering.
The college is located in Xinxiang City, a famous city in the Central Plains. The campus is located at No. 777, the southern section of Xinfei Avenue. It has a planned area of 1,500 acres, a total construction of 780,000 square meters, and a total investment of 2.4 billion yuan. High-quality construction in accordance with the domestic first-class campus standards is a key construction project in Henan Province. After completion, it can accommodate more than 25,000 students.
The college has complete teaching facilities, including biochemical, food engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, literature, law, art, economic management, public computer room, foreign language laboratory and other laboratories. There are various types of laboratories inside and outside the school. Internship, training base, library; complete supporting facilities, with standardized sports fields (national level two), provincial standardized restaurants, dormitories, etc., which can meet the needs of students in life, study and practice. There are currently 33 undergraduate majors, including 2 "comprehensive reform pilot majors" in Henan Province. It has formed a coordinated development of disciplines and majors covering eight disciplines including economics, management, law, literature, science, engineering, agriculture, and art. .
