The school was formed by the merger of Henan College of Finance and Taxation and Henan Institute of Education. The original Henan College of Finance and Taxation was founded in 1953 and is affiliated to the Henan Provincial Department of Finance. It is the earliest school in Henan to train specialized talents in finance, taxation, finance, and accounting.
