The Railway Police Academy is directly under the Ministry of Public Security and the only higher education institution in my country that trains railway public security professionals. It was founded in Beijing in 1950 and was renamed the Railway Police Academy in 2013, and began to hold full-time general undergraduate education.
The school adheres to the socialist direction of running a school, fully implements the party's educational policy, centered on the school positioning of "based on railways, oriented to transportation, and serving public security", following the development concept of "dislocation competition and differential development" and the development of "connectivity, similarity, and gradual expansion" We will actively serve the overall situation of public security work, continue to strengthen the construction of connotation and characteristics, and promote the continuous improvement of the standardization, professionalization and professionalization of the school. We have successively trained more than 50,000 graduates and more than 50,000 police officers for public security agencies. The alumni group of heroes and models represented by the first-class hero Lei Hong, the first-class hero Shen Zhandong, and the "most aesthetic policeman born in the 1990s" Li Boya are known as the "cradle of railway guards."
The school has rail transit safety and security department, railway police affairs department (preparation), image and network investigation department (preparation), investigation department, public security department, public security management department, criminal science and technology department, law department, police sports and Departments of Tactical Training Teaching and Research, Public Security Basic Teaching and Research Department, Marxism Teaching and Research Department, etc.; undergraduate majors in investigation, public security, public security management, criminal science and technology, network security and law enforcement, anti-terrorism, urban rail traffic safety and law enforcement, Railway patrol, railway security, public security intelligence, video investigation, public security secretarial, legal propaganda and press spokesperson and other undergraduate majors, criminal investigation, public security management, special police and other specialties. There are 7 national, provincial and ministerial quality courses, and 7 provincial and ministerial key majors, characteristic majors, and experimental teaching demonstration centers have been approved. The “Practical Police Training Base of the Ministry of Public Security” has been established, and 29 practice teaching bases have been built with public security agencies across the country. It has 40 basic laboratories, public security professional laboratories and training venues, with a collection of 663,700 paper books and 1.4 million e-books. There are more than 4,500 students in school.
The school has 95 senior professional and technical staff, 2 provincial and ministerial-level teaching teachers, 4 teachers enjoying ministerial subsidies, 15 Henan academic and technical leaders, 10 Henan teaching pacesetters, and 16 interdisciplinary research centers have been established. , 4 expert studios. The school actively carries out international academic exchanges and educational cooperation, and has established cooperative relations with police academies and police agencies in the United States, Britain, France, Canada, Germany, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Laos and other countries. Successfully held training courses for national railway police along the "Belt and Road" routes in Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Laos. This is also the first time that my country's public security colleges have trained foreign railway police.
The new campus of the school is located in Xinzheng Education Park, Zhengzhou City, covering an area of 1,000 acres, with a construction area of 280,000 square meters, and a total investment of 1.6 billion. It is expected to be completed in 2020.
Entering a new period of development, the school party committee will, under the strong leadership of the party committee of the Ministry of Public Security, unite and lead all teachers and students, closely focus on the overall situation of public security work, continue to coordinate the promotion of education and teaching reforms, vigorously strengthen the construction of connotative characteristics, and continuously improve internal governance capabilities.
