1. Basic situation


   The predecessor of Henan Vocational and Technical College was Henan Machinery Manufacturing Technical School, which was founded in December 1954. In 1956, it was renamed Henan Workers Technical School, Henan Industrial Technical Normal School in 1960, Henan Technical Education Normal School in 1961, and Henan Vocational and Technical Education College in 1992. In March 1999, it was restructured into a new type of higher vocational colleges approved by the Ministry of Education. It is now one of the 100 national model higher vocational colleges. The college was selected as one of the top 50 colleges and universities with typical experience in innovation and entrepreneurship in the country and the top 50 colleges and universities in teaching resources of higher vocational colleges in the country. The college is located in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province. It covers an area of 1,240 acres and has a building area of nearly 550,000 square meters.
