Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was founded in 1958. It is one of the earliest higher TCM colleges in the country. Its predecessor was the Henan TCM Training School founded in Kaifeng in 1955. The school is located in Zhengzhou, the provincial capital, and has 4 campuses, namely Longzihu Campus, Dongming Road Campus, Renmin Road Campus, and Dongfeng Road Campus, covering an area of 1,594.94 acres. The building area is 623,400 square meters, and the total value of teaching and research equipment is 497 million yuan. It is a university jointly established by the People’s Government of Henan Province and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a university under the National Central and Western Higher Education Revitalization Plan, a Chinese government scholarship student training university of the Ministry of Education, a "5+3" integrated admissions institution for Chinese medicine majors in the Ministry of Education, and a national International Cooperation Base of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Doctoral Degree Authorization Unit, and Provincial Civilized Unit. More than 60 years after its establishment, the school has developed from a single discipline of Chinese medicine to a coordinated development of multiple disciplines including medicine, science, management, engineering, culture, and education, covering undergraduates, postgraduates (doctors, masters), international students, continuing education, etc. A comprehensive university of Chinese medicine with training levels and categories.
