Harbin sport university (Harbin sport university) is located in the beautiful northern city of Harbin.    At present, the college covers an area of 2,781,100 square meters, with a construction area of 174,800 square meters. It consists of the Harbin main campus and Maoershan Ski Resort (the second teaching area). In 2013, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the National Postdoctoral Management Committee approved the establishment of a postdoctoral research station in the ski teaching and training base of Harbin Institute of Physical Education. This is currently the only postdoctoral research station in the field of winter sports science research in my country.


   College is the first-level discipline master's degree granting unit of physical education. There are physical education, sports training, social sports guidance and management, martial arts and traditional national sports, sports human science, sports rehabilitation, leisure sports and other sports undergraduate majors, as well as journalism, English, dance performance and other non-sports majors. Physical Education and Training is a provincial-level key discipline, physical education, sports training, and sports human science are provincial-level key majors, and physical education is a national specialty.    In the past 60 years, the college has always adhered to the characteristics of ice and snow school, and has continuously strengthened the cultivation of ice and snow talents and infrastructure construction. The main campus has more than 30 indoor and outdoor sports venues including standard indoor plastic track and field gymnasiums, ball games halls, gymnastics halls, tennis courts, badminton courts, speed skating, figure, ice hockey rinks, modern comprehensive training halls and college student skating halls. Other facilities are in a leading position among sports colleges across the country, especially the University Student Skating Hall, which is one of the ice event venues of the 24th World University Winter Games in 2009.    Since 1999, the college has invested more than 300 million yuan in funds to establish an alpine ski resort and a ski teaching and training base covering an area of 2.599 million square meters in Maoershan Town, 80 kilometers away from Harbin. Among them, the alpine ski resort has a building area of 23,605 square meters, with a total of 7 ski trails, which can accommodate more than 2,000 people for skiing and accommodation for more than 1,000 people; the ski teaching and training base has a building area of 7,298 square meters, with 1 ski trail, and 5 villas. It can accommodate more than 300 people for skiing, boarding and lodging at the same time. After more than ten years of development and construction, the Alpine Ski Resort is currently the largest, advanced facilities, and modern management snow project teaching, research, training, and competition center among colleges and universities in the country. It is also a national snowboard U-shaped venue ski project training base. The snow sports training base for Chinese college students and one of the main snow sports venues of the 24th World University Winter Games in 2009. In addition to ensuring the completion of the normal teaching and training tasks of the college, the ski resort has hosted many domestic and foreign competitions and various conferences, especially successfully completed the tasks of the 24th World University Winter Games in 2009. At the same time, the ski resort is open to the society and fully meets the needs of the majority of ski enthusiasts, providing strong intellectual support and technical support for the development of ice and snow tourism in Heilongjiang Province and the promotion of national fitness sports in winter.


The college has carried out bold reforms and attempts in ice and snow teaching, scientific research, and training. On the basis of the original "ice and land double cycle teaching mode", it has expanded the "snow land double cycle teaching mode" and successfully solved the problem of non-ice and snow teaching. The problem of limited professional teaching and training conditions during the period has received good teaching results, and sports performance has been significantly improved. Through continuous exploration and practical teaching, many outstanding ice and snow athletes have been trained. For half a century, they have served the country.
