Qiqihar Institute of Engineering is a full-time general private undergraduate college focusing on engineering. There are 10 secondary teaching units, including the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Department of Transportation Engineering, Department of Construction Engineering, Department of Information Engineering, Department of Management Engineering, Department of Health and Nursing, Department of Ideological and Political Education, Basic Department, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, and Continuing Education Department. 20 undergraduate majors and 21 junior majors.


  


The school gives full play to the advantages of "mixed ownership", explores the talent training model of "government-school-enterprise cooperation, integration of production, education and research, and integration of teaching and learning". The principle of professional construction is to cultivate applied professional entrepreneurs who are ambitious, have a sound personality, have a solid foundation, have obvious specialties, and are brave in innovation and good at practice. In October 2015, our school was selected as the "Grass-roots Entrepreneurship Education Incubation Platform" for the first "National Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Activity Week", and it was the only local university that participated in the exhibition. The school has signed school-enterprise cooperation agreements with 210 units including Qizhong Numerical Control Equipment Co., Ltd., Qier Machine Tool (Group) Co., Ltd., FAW Jilin Automobile Co., Ltd., and actively explores effective ways for application-based undergraduates to serve local economic and social development. , The rate of graduates staying in the province has stabilized at around 75%.


   The school puts forward the concept and model of curriculum construction of "one center, two basic views", that is, to cultivate application-oriented talents as the center; adhere to a demand-oriented curriculum view; adhere to a teaching view that adapts to academic conditions. In the educational practice, the principles, methods and measurement standards of the "four truths and three modernizations" applied curriculum construction have been explored. In January 2015, the school initiated the establishment of the Applied Curriculum Construction Alliance; in April 2016, it jointly established the Curriculum Construction Institute with the School Planning and Construction Development Center of the Ministry of Education. The alliance and research institutes organized large classes and seminars for application-oriented curriculum construction, which have formed a brand in the industry and have a certain degree of popularity and influence.


   The school-running model of "entrusted management" initiated by the school in 1998 has been written into the "National Medium and Long-term Education Reform and Development Plan Outline (2010-2020)". In 2013, "Cross-provincial trustee" Sanya City Vocational College; in 2014, it hosted the vocational education of Gannan County, and the courses of vocational farmer education have been exported to Shouguang City, Shandong Province. The practice of school education reform has been a teaching case of the National Academy of Education Administration since 1999.
