Heilongjiang Vocational and Technical College of Architecture was founded in 1948. The original name was Harbin Technical College; in February 1960, it was renamed Heilongjiang Provincial Construction Engineering School; in March 1998, it merged with the original Provincial Construction Workers University and was upgraded to a full-time general higher vocational college with the approval of the Ministry of Education; 2000 —In 2003, it merged with Heilongjiang Building Material Industry School and Heilongjiang Textile Industry School.
