Heilongjiang Energy Vocational College (formerly Heilongjiang Coal Vocational and Technical College) is a provincial-level junior college approved by the Heilongjiang Provincial People's Government and registered by the Ministry of Education. Founded in 1949, it has a long history of running a school.
College is located in Shuangyashan City, a new industrial city known as "The City of Louwang, the City of Wetlands, Coal and Electricity Base, and the Granary of Northland". The college is the vice-chairman unit of the National Explosion-proof Electrical Equipment Vocational Education Group, the vice-chairman unit of the National Coal Vocational Education Group, a member unit of the China Electrical Equipment Industry Association, a training base for China's electrical explosion-proof technology talents, the "National Galaxy Training Project" Heilongjiang training base, Heilongjiang Province High-quality technical and technical personnel training base. Carry out various forms of joint education with China University of Mining and Technology, China University of Geosciences, Liaoning Technical University, Heilongjiang University, and Heilongjiang University of Science and Technology.
The college aims at cultivating applied talents with "good ideological and moral character, solid theoretical foundation, and strong operational ability". It takes "quality school, characteristic school, talented talents" as the direction of running the school, and "student first, practice first" "Employment first" is the school-running philosophy, which has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents. The college has 4 national industry professional leaders, 2 provincial academic leaders, 34 senior professional titles, 87 deputy senior professional titles, 93 dual-qualified teachers, and more than 100 external teachers.
At present, the college takes higher vocational (college) education as the main body, supplemented by secondary vocational education and skills training, and has the functions of on-the-job postgraduate education, adult undergraduate education, adult secondary education, and distance education, forming academic education and Non-academic education and training coexist, and full-time education and correspondence education are mutually aided in a multi-level school-running pattern. There are Department of Teacher Education, Department of Resources and Environmental Engineering, Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Department of Economic Management, Department of Chemistry and Environmental Engineering, Department of Information Engineering, Department of Safety Engineering, Ministry of Basic Education, Ministry of Secondary Vocational Education, Vocational Skills Appraisal Station, and College of Continuing Education And Vocational Training Institute. There are 33 majors including pre-school education, financial management, mechatronics technology, engineering surveying, coal mining technology, mineral processing technology, machinery manufacturing and automation, safety technology management, and high-speed rail aviation. Among them, coal mining technology and mechanical and electrical integration are listed as key construction majors supported by the central government, and mineral processing technology and safety technology management majors are listed as key construction majors supported by provincial finance.
Based on the province and facing the whole country, the college has established cooperative relations with more than 100 enterprises inside and outside the province, providing broad space for graduates to find employment, and cultivating a large number of outstanding talents for the society.
