Hegang Teachers College is a public full-time general college approved by the Ministry of Education in March 2002. Its predecessor was Hegang Teachers College and Hegang Mining Bureau Normal School, Hegang Finance and Economics, founded in 1958 The school has a history of 59 years.

The school conditions are perfect. There are two campuses, east and west. The school has established multiple employment bases inside and outside the province.
