The college was founded in 1958. It is a public, full-time general higher vocational college approved by the Heilongjiang Provincial Government and filed by the Ministry of Education for national enrollment. There are seven secondary colleges, including the School of Ecological Engineering, School of Urban Construction, School of Home Engineering, School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, School of Information Engineering, School of Economics and Management, and School of Humanities, with 40 majors and 7215 students.
The college has a strong faculty. There are 301 full-time teachers, of which 53 are professors; 108 are PhD, master and degree teachers; 192 are "double-qualified" teachers with professional qualifications such as engineering supervision, certified public accountant, and software designer. There are 3 provincial-level teaching teachers.
The college attaches equal importance to academic education and vocational training, and focuses on cultivating technical and technical talents with both ability and political integrity, and has gradually formed a school-running philosophy with "integration of one body, two wings spread, Lin Xing special Li, German and basic skills" as the core. After more than 60 years of development and construction, the scale of the school has been continuously expanded and the quality of the school has been continuously improved. It has won the honorary titles of National Vocational Education Advanced Unit, Provincial Civilization Model and Provincial May 1st Labor Award, and is the national talent training work level evaluation "excellent" Units, the second batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units of the Ministry of Education and provincial model higher vocational colleges.
