Hainan Health Vocational College was born in the new era of "Healthy China". It is a public higher vocational college approved by the Hainan Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. It is the only public medical and health higher vocational school in Hainan Province. The college is located in the center of China (Hainan) Free Trade Port. It is located in the scenic capital city of Yecheng Haikou. It has two campuses, Xiuhua and Baishuitang.

The college currently has 334 faculty members, and more than 85% of the full-time teachers are dual-qualified teachers, including more than 100 professional and technical personnel with associate senior level or above. Nursing, midwifery, pharmacy, medical laboratory technology, rehabilitation technology and other majors are now offered. It has a complete practical teaching system, more than 60 off-campus training bases, covering more than 85% of the tertiary hospitals, 100% of the second-class hospitals and large pharmaceutical companies and pharmaceutical companies in the province. There are many professional training centers for nursing, midwifery, pharmacy, medical laboratory technology, and rehabilitation treatment technology. There are more than 100 experimental training rooms and two teaching science bases, namely, life science museum and traditional Chinese medicine specimen museum. It is the first in the country. It is the only national doctor qualification examination and practice skill examination and examiner training base for Chinese medicine practitioners in Hainan.
Teachers and students of the college actively participate in various skills competitions inside and outside the province. Nursing, Chinese medicine, medical laboratory technology and other professional students have achieved excellent results in national and provincial skills competitions. Among them, he won two gold medals in the National Nursing Competition; the "China Cup" Medical Laboratory Technology Skills Competition has won the team championship for three consecutive years.
