Bijie Industrial Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Guizhou Province and filed by the Ministry of Education. The college takes full-time general higher vocational education as the main body, and also holds secondary vocational education and vocational skills training.

The college currently has 232 faculty members and 185 full-time teachers with bachelor degree or above, including 50 with postgraduate or above, 5 with senior professional titles, 65 with senior professional titles, and 81 double-qualified teachers. The college currently has 1 host and 1 member of Guizhou Provincial Famous Principal Studio, 1 provincial "Master Studio" and 1 provincial "Excellent Teaching Team".
The college has Department of Electrical Engineering, Department of Automotive Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Information Engineering, Department of Social Service, Department of Public Teaching (Marxist Teaching Department), Department of Continuing Education, Technical Secondary School (Bijie City Industrial School, Bijie City Hydropower Technician School) 8 teaching institutions. Currently, there are engineering measurement technology, construction engineering technology, road and bridge engineering, engineering cost, water management, safety technology and management, automobile application and maintenance technology, electromechanical equipment maintenance and management, mechatronics (robot direction), big data technology and 15 majors including application, digital media application technology, e-commerce, tourism management, property management, hotel management, etc.
The college currently has 6 major on-campus professional training bases including information technology, industrial and mining construction, electromechanical, and auto repair. It is equipped with training equipment and facilities suitable for each major, with a total value of nearly 100 million yuan, which is for the improvement and hands-on of students' professional quality The cultivation of ability provides a high-quality environment and conditions.
