Western Michigan College of Guizhou University of Finance and Economics

On May 4, 2017, the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China approved the cooperation between Guizhou University of Finance and Economics and Western Michigan University to host the West Michigan College of Guizhou University of Finance and Economics. A Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run school with legal personality.


Established in 1903, Western Michigan University is a national research university. The Carnegie Foundation classifies Western Michigan University as one of the 207 research universities at the highest level in the United States. The Haworth Business School of Western Michigan University is one of the largest business schools in the United States and one of the elite business schools in the world with less than 5% accredited by the International Association of Business Schools (AACSB) for both undergraduate and graduate programs.


Western Michigan College of Guizhou University of Finance and Economics follows the model of world-class universities, sharing high-quality teaching and teaching resources, experiencing the atmosphere of teaching in English, and enhancing the ability of cross-cultural communication. Based on the cultivation of high-end management talents with an international perspective, able to participate in international affairs and international competition.


The college has three undergraduate majors, accounting, financial management, and marketing. The enrollment is included in the national college enrollment plan. The core professional courses are taught by professors from Western Michigan University. Students who complete all courses and meet the requirements of both parties will receive a bachelor's degree certificate, a bachelor's degree certificate from Guizhou University of Finance and Economics, and a bachelor's degree certificate in business administration from Western Michigan University in the United States.
