Qiannan Vocational and Technical College for Nationalities is a comprehensive full-time public higher vocational college approved by the People’s Government of Guizhou Province in August 2001. Qiannan Nationality Finance School, Qiannan Nationality Agricultural School and Qiannan Nationality Industrial School were merged to form four technical secondary schools.
The college is located in Duyun, a global green city, an excellent tourist city in China, and the capital of Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. It covers an area of more than 1,185 acres. "Garden School" is the "National Defense Education Characteristic School" named by the Ministry of Education, a high-quality higher vocational college construction project school in Guizhou Province, and a pilot institution for the "1+X" vocational skill level certificate of the Ministry of Education.
The college currently has nearly 500 faculty members, including more than 300 full-time teachers. There are more than 80 professors and associate professors, and more than 120 "double-qualified" teachers. There are more than 200 part-time teachers. At present, there are more than 12,000 students in school, and the employment rate of graduates remains above 97%.
The college adheres to the socialist direction of running a school, adheres to the party’s educational policy, takes as the fundamental task of cultivating socialist qualified builders and successors with comprehensive development of morality, intelligence, physical education, art, and labor. Targeting skilled talents, we will carry out high- and secondary vocational education, as well as adult education and vocational skills training.
The college now has "seven departments (second colleges)", namely the management department, accounting department, big data and e-commerce department (Qiannan Internet Marketing College), modern mountain agricultural engineering department, automobile engineering department, tourism and tea industry department ( Duyun Maojian Tea College), Department of Construction Engineering and Design, with accounting, financial management, construction engineering technology, architectural interior design, big data technology and application, e-commerce, automobile inspection and maintenance technology, new energy vehicle technology, tourism management , Human Resource Management, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, Agricultural Products Processing and Quality Inspection and other 28 majors, involving agriculture, forestry and animal husbandry, civil engineering and construction, big data and e-commerce, finance and commerce, equipment manufacturing, tourism and public management.
The college has set up the 25th National Vocational Skills Appraisal Institute, the National Computer Information High-tech Examination Station, the National Vocational Qualifications National Unified Examination Registration Point and other vocational skills appraisal and verification institutions. It is a training base for dispatched labor services in Guizhou Province and approved by the Guizhou Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-rural Development. The college currently has 3 national-level backbone majors, 1 national-level productive training base, 1 national-level collaborative innovation center, and 1 national-level modern apprenticeship pilot major. 1 provincial-level key professional group, 5 provincial-level backbone majors, 2 provincial-level excellent teaching teams, 2 provincial-level master studios, 5 provincial-level vocational teachers, 6 provincial-level quality courses, provincial-level quality online There are 5 open courses, 2 provincial-level open training bases, 1 provincial-level modern apprenticeship pilot, and 2 provincial-level collaborative innovation centers.
In recent years, teachers and students have won 2 second prizes and 4 third prizes in the National Vocational College Skills Competition; 9 provincial first prizes, 49 second prizes, and 83 third prizes.
