Guizhou Transportation Vocational and Technical College is a science and engineering higher vocational college featuring transportation. Founded in 1958, after going through the development process of the national "demonstration school" and the national "quality school", in 2019, it was successfully selected as the only "construction unit of high-level vocational colleges with Chinese characteristics" in the 56 Guizhou nationwide in 2019.
The college currently has two campuses, Qingzhen and Yangguan, covering an area of more than 1,680 acres and more than 16,000 full-time vocational students. After sixty years of hard work and striving forward, Yijiazi has worked hard and has made fruitful achievements. It has successively won the top 50 national vocational colleges for student management, the top 50 national vocational colleges for service contributions, the national graduate employment experience colleges, and the national graduate employment competition. The college has 9 teaching departments: Road and Bridge Engineering Department, Automotive Engineering Department, Management Engineering Department, Construction Engineering Department, Information Engineering Department, Mechatronic Engineering Department, Logistics Engineering Department, Rail Engineering Department, Basic Teaching Department; 3 Secondary colleges: Guizhou Transportation Technician College, Continuing Education College, Driving Technician School.
The college now offers 40 majors, focusing on the establishment of two national high-level professional groups in road and bridge engineering technology and automobile application and maintenance technology (intelligent transportation in western mountainous areas); among them, the road and bridge engineering technology professional group covers road and bridge engineering technology, underground and Tunnel engineering technology, civil engineering testing technology, road maintenance and management, and computer network technology are 5 majors; the automotive application and maintenance technology (Intelligent Transportation in the Western Mountain Area) professional group covers automotive application and maintenance technology, new energy vehicle technology, mechatronics There are 5 majors in technology, Internet of Things application technology, and logistics management.
The college has built 7 national quality courses, 7 national quality resource sharing courses, 11 national teaching resource library courses, and 26 provincial quality courses; it has 6 vocational training bases supported by the central government and 6 provincial open training bases. .
The college has a total of 669 faculty members, including 222 senior titles, 160 with master's degree or above, and 490 dual-qualified teachers. The college currently has 13 national "Ten Thousand Talents Program" teaching teachers and 13 provincial and ministerial-level teaching teachers; 5 provincial management experts and provincial government special allowance experts; 11 provincial high-level innovative talents with "thousand" level talents; provincial and ministerial level 8 of the above-mentioned "skills masters" and young technical experts; 8 education and teaching innovation teams at or above the provincial and ministerial level.
