Liupanshui Normal University is located in Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province, which is known as the "Cool Capital of China". In 2009, it was upgraded from Liupanshui Teachers College to Liupanshui Teachers College. In 2013, it obtained the qualification of bachelor's degree awarding unit.
