Chongzuo Preschool Teachers College

[School Overview] The predecessor of Chongzuo Preschool Teachers College was Nanning Regional Education College, which was founded in 1982. In March 2019, it was approved by the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and reported to the Ministry of Education for the record. Nanning Regional Education College was renamed Chong Zuo Kindergarten Teachers College. The nature of the school is a public full-time general college and it is the second kindergarten normal college in Guangxi. There are a total of 8,821 enrolled students, including 5,881 full-time college students (including 3,275 freshmen in the 2019 grade) and 2,940 adult education undergraduate students. Students come from more than 50 counties (cities, districts) in the whole district, and the school's scale of school has shown a good development trend of expanding year by year.


  【School conditions】The school covers an area of 617 acres, and the first phase of the school building area is 168,000 square meters. There are 5320 multimedia classroom seats, 165 language room seats, 550 teaching computers, and a modern campus network service system. The total value of teaching and research equipment is 25.45 million yuan. The library has a building area of 14,900 square meters, and currently has a collection of 263,000 paper books, more than 80,000 e-books, and more than 1,000 Chinese and foreign periodicals. There are 63 experiment (training) rooms and training bases in the school, and 12 stable and reliable practice training bases are built outside the school.


[Teachers] The school has 190 full-time teachers, including 37 teachers with senior professional titles and above (4 with senior professional titles and 33 with deputy senior titles), accounting for 19% of the total number of full-time teachers; among the full-time teachers, they have a graduate degree or There are 90 teachers with a master's degree or above, accounting for 47% of the total number of full-time teachers.


  【Discipline Major】 The school has five teaching departments, including the Preschool Education Department, Elementary Education Department, Culture and Art Department, Economics and Trade Department, and Public Administration Department, as well as teaching units such as the Public Teaching Department and the Ideological and Political Theory Course Teaching Department. In terms of professional setting, we adhere to the principle of "marketing and serving the local", with characteristic professional construction as a breakthrough, and gradually forming its own school-running characteristics: that is, with teacher education as the main body, highlighting the characteristics of preschool teacher education, and a professional system of coordinated development of non-teacher majors.


[Academic Research] In the past five years, the school has established a total of 33 scientific research projects, including 27 prefectural and departmental-level projects, and 6 internal projects; published more than 200 papers, including 3 papers by SCI and EI, 20 Chinese core journals, core regional core journals 17 articles, 3 publications, 8 school-based textbooks, and 3 experimental bases for the transformation of scientific research results. The school also relies on the Chongzuo City Teacher Training Center to undertake the task of training teachers for basic education in Chongzuo City.


   [Talent training] The school’s main forms of running schools are: full-time general tertiary education, while holding adult correspondence colleges, undergraduates, distance education, undergraduates, continuing education for primary and secondary school teachers, and various short-term vocational trainings.
