Guangxi Vocational and Technical College of Economics and Trade is a public full-time general higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of the Autonomous Region in 2004, and is affiliated to the Autonomous Region Supply and Marketing Cooperative Association. The school currently has three campuses: Qingshan, Changgang, and Wuhe (under construction). There are 10,129 full-time higher vocational students, 352 faculty members, 386 full-time and part-time teachers, 71 senior titles, and 152 intermediate titles. Three people were selected as top-notch accounting talents in Guangxi "Ten Hundred Thousands". In addition, a group of part-time professors, corporate executives and skilled craftsmen have been hired to enrich the teaching and research teams.
The school has 8 secondary colleges, including the School of Business Management, the School of Accounting and Finance, the School of Intelligence and Information Engineering, the School of Culture and Tourism, the School of Art Design and Architecture, the School of General Education, the School of Marxism, and the School of Smart Business Industry. The core is the professional development pattern of serving rural modern circulation, focusing on the establishment of five major professional groups: accounting and finance, modern circulation, business informatization, art design and tourism services, and opening e-commerce, clothing and apparel design, accounting, and cooking 34 higher vocational majors including technology and nutrition and marketing.
The school follows the school motto of "Promoting Commerce, Promoting Business and Promoting Business", and has formed the school-running philosophy of "Adhering to business, promoting business, learning business, researching business for business, and promoting business with business". The talent training concept of "double ethics and talents" has taken root in the fertile soil of Guangxi business culture, served the economic and social development of Guangxi, and achieved fruitful school-running results. The school became a national demonstration vocational college for supply and marketing cooperatives, the second batch of national pilot units for modern apprenticeship, and the first batch of national vocational education teachers’ teaching innovation team establishment units. It was selected as a project establishment unit for the Guangxi high-level professional construction plan.
