Guangxi International Business Vocational and Technical College is a state-run full-time institution of higher learning with the purpose of cultivating international application talents that meet the needs of modern business development. It is the cradle of cultivating talents in Guangxi's business industry. The college is affiliated to the Department of Commerce of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Its predecessor was the Guangxi Foreign Economics and Trade School founded in 1965. In 2002, it was upgraded to a higher vocational college and renamed Guangxi International Business Vocational and Technical College.

1. The history of the college
College was founded in 1965, and its predecessor was Guangxi Foreign Trade Part-time School. It was named Guangxi Foreign Trade School in 1978, and the school site was set at No. 30, Mingxiu West Road, Nanning. In 1984, it was renamed Guangxi School of Foreign Economics and Trade and moved to No. 168, University East Road, Nanning City in 1994. In 2002, the college was upgraded to a higher vocational college and changed its name to Guangxi International Business Vocational and Technical College.
