The predecessor of Guangxi Kindergarten Teachers College was the Guangxi Kindergarten Normal School of Beiping Xiangshan Charity Kindergarten Guilin Branch founded in 1938 by Zhang Xuemen, a famous kindergarten educator in my country. In March 2009, the school was approved by the Ministry of Education to be upgraded to Guangxi Preschool Teachers College. It is now the only independent preschool teacher college in Guangxi, directly under the management of the Education Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Guangxi Preschool Teacher Training Center and Guangxi Special Education Teacher Training Center are affiliated to our school.
The school is a national educational system reform pilot technical support unit, a key professional construction unit supported by the central finance, the first batch of education informatization pilot units of the Ministry of Education, a national school art education advanced unit, a national campus culture advanced unit, and a normal education capacity improvement plan for colleges and universities in Guangxi Base, Guangxi Preschool Child Development and Education Research Base, Guangxi Preschool Education Teaching Method Base, Guangxi Preschool Education Teachers and Primary School Art Teacher Training Base, Guangxi Preschool Education Demonstrative Training Base Construction Unit, National Preschool Teachers Demonstrative Concentrated Training Project Training Institutions (the only universities in Guangxi), safe and civilized campuses in Guangxi universities, civilized units in Guangxi, advanced health units in Guangxi, harmonious units in Guangxi, and excellent schools in Guangxi.
The school has two campuses, Nanning campus and Pingguo campus, covering a total area of 541 acres and a total construction area of about 145,700 square meters. The teaching facilities are complete, with pre-service and post-employment integrated kindergarten teacher training space station and information resource center, preschool education training center, art education training center, information technology education training center, language education training center, and special education resource center , Science Education Training Center, Teacher Education Software Construction Platform, a total of 143 internship training rooms. The school has established educational practice and training bases in 244 units within and outside Guangxi.
The school has six teaching departments, including preschool education department, art department, elementary education department, special education department, technical secondary school (five-year teaching department), and social science department, and 1 affiliated kindergarten (autonomous region-level model kindergarten); There are 19 majors (directions) such as preschool education and special education, and a professional structure with preschool education as the leader, special education as the characteristic, and art as the highlight, with teacher education as the mainstay and non-teaching education as the supplement system.
There are 415 faculty members and 57 associate professors and above (including 8 professors); more than 200 visiting professors and part-time teachers. Since the upgrade, it has won 3 national-level teaching research and scientific research projects, and 106 autonomous region and department-level teaching and research projects; the project "Research and Practice on the Integrated Model of Pre-service and Post-Service Education for Preschool Teachers" won the 2014 National Teaching Achievement Award for Vocational Education. Prizes, teaching and research achievements won 13 provincial and ministerial awards. 4 people were selected into the "Guangxi University Excellent Talent Funding Program". In various skill competitions, students have won 535 national level third prizes and above (231 first prizes), and 1,060 autonomous regional awards (264 first prizes). Two song and dance programs were adopted for the "2012 Chinese National Folk Song and Dance Festival", which appeared on CCTV No. 1 studio and broadcast on CCTV 1 set on the eve of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Two singing and dancing programs won the bronze awards of art education performances of vocational colleges in ethnic minority areas of the country.
The school currently has 7,769 full-time students. More than 10,000 preschool education talents are trained annually. Since the establishment of the school, more than 100,000 preschool education talents have been trained for the society. Graduates are spread all over the region and abroad and expanded to Thailand, Singapore and other ASEAN countries.
