Guangxi Transportation Vocational and Technical College is located in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The school is affiliated to the Transportation Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and is the only college in Guangxi that trains transportation professionals. The school has 3 campuses, Kunlun, Yuanhu, and Xiangsi Lake, covering a total area of 1305 acres. There are more than 18,000 full-time students, 773 faculty members, 368 part-time corporate teachers; 257 senior titles, 308 intermediate titles, and 266 graduate students or above. The teaching department has 44 majors (directions) including road and bridge engineering technology, automobile inspection and maintenance technology, logistics management, electronic information engineering technology, ship engineering technology, and municipal engineering technology. There are 4 school-run enterprises including Guangxi Jiaotong Institute Driving School Training Co., Ltd., and 1 vocational skill appraisal office in the transportation industry.
The school adheres to the modern vocational education philosophy of "integration of industry and education, school-enterprise cooperation, integration of work and learning, and integration of knowledge and action", and gives full play to the advantages of the transportation industry, and continuously promotes the deep integration of industry and education, and close school-enterprise cooperation. In 2008, the school took the lead in establishing a cooperative development council in Guangxi higher vocational colleges. In 2016, it became the secretary-general unit of the Guangxi Transportation Industry Vocational Education and Teaching Guidance Committee. In 2018, the Guangxi Transportation Vocational Education Group led by the school became the first demonstration group in Guangxi. The Vocational Education Group invites "politics, schools and enterprises" to deeply participate in the whole process of talent training. The school-enterprise jointly built 8 production-university-research entities, including the Automobile Mechatronics Collaborative Innovation Center and the Road Construction Materials Engineering Research Center, with an average annual output value of 51 million yuan; cooperated with industry enterprises to build 6 types of shared campus teaching workshops and formed construction standards.
