Xiangsi Lake College of Guangxi University for Nationalities was founded in April 2002, formerly known as Xiangsi Lake College of Guangxi University for Nationalities, in February 2004, approved by the Ministry of Education, became a full-time undergraduate college (independent college), March 2006, Ministry of Education Agree to change the name of Xiangsi Lake College of Guangxi University for Nationalities to Xiangsi Lake College of Guangxi University for Nationalities. According to the arrangement of the Ministry of Education for the transfer of independent colleges, our school plans to transfer and change its name to Nanning Digital Technology College (subject to the approval of the Ministry of Education).

The school has three campuses, of which Xiangsi Lake campus is located at No. 1, North Section of Pengfei Road, Xixiangtang District, Nanning City. In September 2021, the school will be relocated as a whole to No. 55 Youyi Road, Jiangnan District, Nanning City.
In September 2018, the number of students in the school reached 10,510, and the school has entered the list of universities with 10,000 people.
