Guangzhou Vocational College of Technology and Trade was founded in 1984 by the Guangzhou Science and Technology Association. It is a public full-time general higher vocational college in Guangzhou approved by the People's Government of Guangdong Province and filed by the Ministry of Education. Famous scientist, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and honorary chairman of Guangzhou Science and Technology Association Zhong Nanshan served as honorary dean.
