Guangzhou Kangda Vocational and Technical College is organized by Guangzhou Kanghong Yuanchuang Investment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Kanghong Company"). Since its first enrollment in 2004, the college has opened more than 30 majors in 8 departments: computer science, economics, accounting, management, applied foreign languages, art design, mechanical and electrical engineering, and safety technology management. The college insists on opening schools to the society, and pays attention to the collaborative education of schools and enterprises. The professional setting and talent training meet the needs of social and economic development for talents, the curriculum setting is close to the needs of actual jobs, and great attention is paid to the improvement of students' professional skills and overall quality. Over the years, the college has cooperated with companies to establish more than 10 technology research and development and service institutions, on-campus productive training rooms and studios, and established off-campus practice bases with more than 170 companies, including world-renowned companies. The college has always adhered to the rule of law and standardized school management, and has achieved good results. In order to seize the historical opportunities of the planning and development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the construction of the "Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City", based on serving the local economic transformation and upgrading, serving the urgent needs of people’s health, and combining relevant national policies, the college plans to develop a large health industry Focus on related professional groups and a new generation of information technology characteristic professional groups, and coordinate the development of financial, commercial, cultural and artistic characteristic professional groups.
In 2018, after closing all the original majors, the college first entered the field of "big health" people's livelihood, opened the nursing major, and increased investment in the construction of two experimental buildings, a basic medical laboratory building and a nursing training building, and equipped them with " "Human Anatomy and Tissue Embryo Laboratory", "Human Anatomy Specimen Showroom", "Medical Function Laboratory", "Basic Nursing, Clinical Nursing, and Humanistic Nursing Training Room", "Midwifery Nursing Laboratory", "Rehabilitation Treatment Technology Training Room"" 54 professional experimental training rooms such as "Medical Laboratory Technology Training Room". At the same time, the college attaches great importance to “medical-school” collaborative education, and has established cooperative relationships with more than 30 hospitals in Guangdong Province in teaching and internships. In 2019, the college opened the majors of midwifery, rehabilitation technology and medical examination technology, and made every effort to build a nursing professional group. In 2020, the nursing professional group was approved as the first batch of high-level professional group construction projects in vocational colleges in Guangdong Province.
In the next few years, the college will focus on building another core professional group "ICT" (Modern Information Technology) professional group, and simultaneously build business, art and other majors, gradually expand the scale of enrollment, and build the college into a similar private college in the province Higher vocational colleges with greater popularity and influence.
