Guangzhou Modern Information Engineering Vocational and Technical College

Guangzhou Modern Information Engineering Vocational and Technical College is a full-time general higher education institution officially established in 2005 with the approval of the People's Government of Guangdong Province and the record of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It is a continuing education base for information engineering in Guangzhou officially approved by the Guangzhou Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. The college is located in the central area of strategic development in eastern Guangzhou, the demonstration base of high-tech industries-Science City, with convenient transportation and elegant environment.


  Guangzhou Modern Information Engineering Vocational and Technical College promotes a new mechanism for all-informatization to run schools, uses education informatization to drive education modernization, and colleges informatization construction to promote higher vocational education innovation, and strives to create the characteristics and highlights of modern information. In August 2013 and 2015, "China Education News" successively published a report on the college's "full-information education mechanism to promote the comprehensive reform of higher vocational education", recommending the college's excellent achievements in the reform, innovation and comprehensive development of higher vocational education score.


According to the joint survey data of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education and the third-party evaluation agency Maxus, the basic work ability level mastered by the graduates of the 2012 Guangdong vocational colleges when they graduate; In terms of core knowledge level, our graduates rank first in both indicators.


The college has established the school mission of "serving the local economic development, based in Guangzhou, serving the Pearl River Delta, and facing the whole province", and established a talent training model of "competence-oriented, employment-oriented, school-enterprise integration, and work-study integration". The ultimate goal is to cultivate high-quality skilled professionals on the front lines of production, construction, management and service, to explore the innovation and reform of the school-running model, and strive to create characteristics.


  The college focuses on engineering, with coordinated development of literature, economics, management, and art. There are four branches of "Information Engineering College", "Mechanical and Automation College", "Architecture and Art College", "Economics and Management College" and two "Basic Course Department" and "Ideological and Political Course Teaching Department". Established 31 professional directions such as CNC technology, information security technology, automotive electronics technology, mold design and manufacturing, exhibition management, international accounting and settlement, international trade and finance, business English, digital and animation design, etc., to cultivate the economic development of the Pearl River Delta A large number of talents.


The college has network technology, information security, computer assembly and maintenance, computer application technology, electronics and electrical technology, automobile maintenance and testing, mold design and manufacturing, international trade practice, e-commerce, digital animation design, environmental art studio, and multimedia technology 82 professional supporting on-campus experimental and training rooms such as clothing and apparel; the college has established production-education integration teaching with many enterprises and institutions in the Pearl River Delta region such as Radio and Television Express, PCCW, Guangzhou Haili Animation Company, and Blue Shield Information Security Company System, implementation of order-based training, a number of industrial project-oriented teaching, learning, and doing integrated school-enterprise cooperation training centers have been established in the school, and off-campus practice bases have been established in Dongguan, Panyu, Zhongshan and other places for students Provide opportunities for "integration of work and study, internship on post" and broad employment channels.


   The college attaches great importance to the construction of full-time teachers, emphasizing the construction of teacher ethics and the improvement of "double teacher quality". Strive to build a "double-teacher structure" teaching team with a reasonable structure, a combination of professional and concurrent, and relatively stable. In accordance with the plan for the construction of the teaching staff, actively cultivate and introduce professional leaders, focusing on the training and improvement of young and middle-aged backbone teachers. Through teaching practice, professional practice and business advancement, more than 130 full-time teachers with high ethics, high teaching level and strong professional skills have been trained.


In recent years, the college’s talent training has made a historic breakthrough: the "Computer Application Technology Training Base" has become a training base for higher vocational education supported by the central government, and has received 4 million yuan funding from the central government. It has been completed and put into use. This will greatly improve the quality of talent training and the level of practical teaching in our college.


   "Information Security Training Base", "Computer Network Technology (Cloud Technology) Training Base" and "Automobile Application Technology Training Base" were rated as provincial higher vocational education training bases.


  The computer application technology major has become a provincial key training major; the computer security technology major has become a provincial key professional construction project; the computer security technology course has become a provincial quality resource sharing course construction project.


  The college strives to build a new curriculum system that meets the characteristics of vocational education and cultivates high-quality skilled talents. Implement a "dual certificate" system with equal emphasis on academic certificates and vocational skills qualification certificates, and strengthen the training of graduates' vocational skills. The overall employment rate in 2013 was 98.92%, and the overall employment rate in 2014 was 99.14%.


  In order to cultivate talents in line with international standards, the college has carried out various forms of cooperation and exchanges with foreign universities in Ukraine, Singapore, New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom and other foreign universities.
