Guangzhou City Vocational College is a higher vocational college sponsored by the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government with the approval of the People's Government of Guangdong Province and the record of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China in March 2005. The college was inaugurated in September 2005. In May 2009, the Guangzhou Municipal Government approved the college to add the "Guangzhou Community College" brand, becoming the first community college in Guangzhou.
