Guangzhou Vocational College of Foreign Economics and Technology was established in 2004. It is a provincial general full-time higher vocational college approved by the People’s Government of Guangdong Province and filed by the Ministry of Education. The predecessor of Guangzhou Vocational College of Foreign Economics and Technology was Guangzhou Weicheng Technical College. In March 2004, approved by the Guangdong Provincial Government and filed by the Ministry of Education, it was officially named Guangzhou Vocational and Technical College of Foreign Economics. In March 2009, the Committee of the Guangzhou Vocational and Technical College of Foreign-related Economics of the Communist Party of China was established.
