Guangdong Vocational and Technical University of Industry and Commerce was established in 1996. It is a full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. It is also a model school for innovation and entrepreneurship education for college students in Guangdong Province. In December 2018, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to become one of the first 15 undergraduate-level vocational education pilot schools in the country. The school is located in the hinterland of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, a national historical and cultural city, and a national civilized city-Zhaoqing City. The school covers an area of 1,283 acres, with a construction area of nearly 500,000 square meters, and currently has more than 19,000 full-time students. The school has two campuses, Xinghu and Dawang. The Xinghu campus is located in the national 5A scenic spot of Qixingyan in Zhaoqing, and the Dawang campus is located in the Zhaoqing National High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
