Shenzhen University of Technology is an undergraduate public institution of higher learning with a high starting point, high level, and high standard construction in Guangdong Province and Shenzhen. In 2015, the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government began preparations for the establishment of Shenzhen University of Technology. In March 2016, the General Office of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government issued a notice on the establishment of the preparatory office of Shenzhen University of Technology. In July 2017, the Shenzhen Municipal Organization Committee issued a notice on the establishment of Shenzhen University of Technology (under preparation). In September 2017 and September 2018, Shenzhen University of Technology (in preparation) relied on Shenzhen University to recruit 226 and 807 people respectively. On November 30, 2018, Shenzhen University of Technology was formally established with the approval of the Ministry of Education. School characteristics


• Set up disciplines closely to meet industry needs. According to "Made in China 2025" and the industrial development of Shenzhen and the Pearl River Delta region, there is an urgent need to set up disciplines.

Adopting the "professor responsibility system" training model, students enter the laboratory immediately after enrollment, and follow the professor to learn professional skills. Subject planning

At present, the Sino-German School of Intelligent Manufacturing, the School of Big Data and Internet, the School of New Materials and New Energy, the School of Urban Transportation and Logistics, the School of Health and Environmental Engineering, the School of Creative Design, the School of Engineering Physics, the School of Quality and Standards, and the School of International Exchange have been established. , School of Business, School of Pharmacy, School of Foreign Languages, School of Marxism (School of Humanities and Social Sciences), School of Physical Education. Majors in mechanical design and manufacturing and automation, Internet of Things engineering, light source and lighting, transportation, automobile service engineering, and industrial design have been opened, which are highly compatible with economic development and industrial needs. By 2022, the school plans to open 39 majors, covering 5 disciplines including engineering, science, management, art, and economics.
