Guangdong Vocational and Technical College is a full-time general higher vocational college sponsored by the People's Government of Guangdong Province. The administrative department is the Education Department of Guangdong Province. Its predecessor was Guangdong Textile Industry School. It was established in 1984 and officially enrolled in 1985. In 1993, it was rated as a provincial key technical school, in 2000, it was rated as a national key technical school, and in 2001, it was upgraded to Guangdong Textile Vocational School.
