Guangzhou Institute of Applied Science and Technology is a full-time general undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. Founded in 2000. In 2000, it was a secondary college of Guangzhou University. Approved by the Ministry of Education in 2004, it was established as an independent college-Songtian College of Guangzhou University. In December 2020, it was reorganized and renamed Guangzhou Institute of Applied Science and Technology approved by the Ministry of Education.
The school has two campuses in Guangzhou and Zhaoqing, covering a total area of 1,420 mu. There are more than 12,000 students, more than 500 teachers, and more than 120 teachers with professional and technical titles of associate senior and above.
