【History】
The predecessor of College was the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Cadre School, which was founded in November 1949. In March 1958, it merged with the Provincial Political and Law Cadre School, the Provincial Civil Police Cadre Training Brigade, Guangzhou Public Security School, and Guangzhou Administrative Cadre School to form the Guangdong Provincial Political and Law Cadre School. In September 1974, general secondary school diploma education was launched. In March 1983, the Guangdong Provincial Political and Legal Cadre College was established to carry out adult college education. In August 1988, it was renamed Guangdong Public Security and Judicial Management Cadre College. In December 1992, Guangdong Public Security College was added to carry out general college degree education. In May 1998, Guangdong Provincial People's Police School was merged into Guangdong Public Security College. In May 2004, Guangdong Police Academy was established to carry out general undergraduate education. In 2008, the college was granted the right to confer a bachelor's degree.
