Guangdong Second Normal University

The predecessor of Guangdong Second Normal University was the Guangdong Educational Administration Institute founded in 1955. It was renamed Guangdong Institute of Education in 1960. In the same year, Guangdong Normal University of Industry and Agriculture was merged. It ceased operation in 1970, and the main body was transferred to Xinxing County of Zhaoqing Prefecture, and Zhaoqing Normal School and Zhaoqing Normal College were established successively. It was reopened in 1978, and in 1982 it was identified as a provincial adult normal undergraduate college. In the same year, it began to hold adult normal undergraduate education. In 1985, it began to hold general college education, and from 1990 to 2008, it held general undergraduate education. Approved by the Ministry of Education in 2010, it was restructured into an ordinary undergraduate college and renamed as Guangdong Second Normal University. It is an ordinary undergraduate college in Guangdong Province. Obtained the right to confer a bachelor's degree in 2014. Passed the qualification assessment of undergraduate teaching work by the Ministry of Education in 2017.


   school is located in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, with two campuses, Haizhu and Huadu. There are 15 research institutions including the School of Education and other 16 teaching schools and departments, and the Basic Education Research Center.
