Hanshan Normal University is an undergraduate normal university with a long history and distinctive characteristics in Guangdong Province. The school was founded in the 29th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1903) "Hui Chaojia Normal School". The school for cultivating teachers was renamed Guangdong Second Normal School in 1921, Guangdong Provincial Hanshan Normal School in 1935, Hanshan Normal School in 1949, upgraded to Higher Normal College in 1958, and upgraded in 1993.
