Zhaoqing College is a public full-time comprehensive undergraduate university founded in 1970.
The school is located in Duanzhou District, Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province, the core area of the Pearl River Delta. It is located in the national key scenic spot Xinghu Scenic Area. The campus covers an area of 1214.3 acres and has a beautiful environment. "Excellent Unit", "National Graduate Employment Model Experience University", "National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Model Experience University", "Guangdong Province Civilized Unit", "Guangdong Province University Public Security Comprehensive Management Advanced School", "Zhaoqing City Garden Unit" and other titles, selected in Guangdong in 2016 Provincial transformation and development pilot colleges and universities jointly built by provinces and cities, and were rated as Guangdong University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Demonstration School and Guangdong Province Rule of Law Demonstration School. In 2017, it was identified as a master's degree awarding construction unit by the Guangdong Provincial Academic Degrees Committee.
The school has ten disciplines including economics, law, pedagogy, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, management, and art, and 66 undergraduate majors. It is oriented to Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan, Hubei, Gansu, Henan, 22 provinces and regions including Hebei, Anhui, Liaoning, Jilin, Shandong, Shanxi, Yunnan, Qinghai, Guizhou, Shaanxi, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, etc. are enrolled, and they are qualified to recruit students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
The school currently has 22,729 full-time students, 10,390 correspondence students, 1,425 faculty members, 1 "double-employed" academician, 134 professors and other senior professional titles, 401 associate senior professional titles, and 257 doctoral candidates. There are 629 personnel with a master's degree. The high-level talent team represented by Xijiang scholars is constantly growing; a group of well-known experts and scholars at home and abroad have been hired as guest professors of the school.
