Guangdong Technological Normal University is a provincial ordinary higher education institution with the right to confer master's degrees. It was founded in 1957 and was formerly known as Guangdong University for Nationalities. Its first principal was the older generation of revolutionary Comrade Luo Ming. In 2002, it was renamed Guangdong Normal University of Technology. In 2002 and 2005, the former Guangdong Mechanical School, the former Guangdong Economic Management College and the Guangdong Finance and Trade Management College were merged successively. In 2018, it was renamed Guangdong Technical Normal University. The school has five campuses: East Campus, West Campus, North Campus, Baiyun Campus, and Heyuan Campus.
