Baiyin Vocational and Technical College of Mining and Metallurgy and Gansu Non-ferrous Metal Technician College are located in the national non-ferrous metal industrial base-Baiyin City, Gansu Province. Baiyin Vocational and Technical College of Mining and Metallurgy is based on the original Baiyin Non-ferrous Metal Workers College and was restructured in 2011 with the approval of the People's Government of Gansu Province. It is currently the only higher vocational college in Baiyin City. The predecessor of Gansu Nonferrous Metal Technician College, Baiyin Company Technical School was founded in 1958, and was approved as Gansu Nonferrous Metal Technician College by the Gansu Provincial Government in January 2010.
The old campus of the college covers an area of 202 acres (the new campus covers an area of 476 acres, and the first phase of 30,000 m2 is under construction). There are 206 faculty members, including 170 full-time teachers, 52 with senior professional titles, and intermediate professional titles.
