Gansu Transportation Vocational and Technical College

Gansu Transportation Vocational and Technical College is a full-time general higher vocational college approved by the provincial government and filed by the Ministry of Education. The predecessor of the college was the Gansu Provincial Communications School established in 1956. In April 2003, with the approval of the provincial government, the former Gansu Provincial Communications School and Gansu Provincial Communications Cadre School were merged to form Gansu Communications Vocational and Technical College. In April 2009, it was transferred from the Provincial Department of Transportation to the Provincial Department of Education.


   For more than 60 years, after the unremitting efforts of several generations, the scale of the school has been continuously expanded, the conditions for running the school have been gradually improved, the characteristics of the school have become increasingly prominent, and the strength of the school has been continuously enhanced, forming a good pattern of coordinated development of scale, quality, structure and efficiency.


  The college has been awarded the title of "Skilled Talent Training Base", "Gansu Provincial Professional and Technical Personnel Continuing Education Base", and "Provincial Civilized Unit Model" by the relevant superior departments. In July 2014, it became the first batch of cooperative colleges in the ICT industry innovation base of the Ministry of Education-ZTE; in December 2015, it became the first batch of “digital campus construction experimental schools for vocational colleges” in the Central Audio-visual Education Center; passed smoothly in July 2016 ISO9001 international quality system certification; in May 2018, it was awarded the "National Post Industry Talent Training Base". Road and bridge engineering technology majors, computer network technology majors, logistics management majors, highway engineering testing technology majors, engineering machinery application technology majors, engineering cost majors, 6 majors have been identified as provincial-level specialty majors; road and bridge engineering technology professional teaching team, Seven teams including the professional teaching team of automobile application technology, the professional teaching team of computer network technology, the professional teaching team of highway engineering inspection technology, the professional teaching team of accounting, the professional teaching team of engineering measurement technology, and the professional teaching team of logistics management have been identified as provincial-level teaching teams. 7 courses including highway survey and design, road engineering cartography, automobile marketing, Mao Zedong Thought and the socialist theoretical system with Chinese characteristics, high-grade highway mechanization construction, highway engineering inspection technology, ideological and moral cultivation and legal foundation, etc., were rated as provincial level Excellent courses; 6 courses including road engineering drawing, highway survey and design, construction of high-performance park network, highway engineering inspection technology, automobile marketing, digital mapping technology, etc. have been rated as provincial-level excellent resource sharing courses.    The college is divided into Anning campus and Yantan campus, covering an area of 258 acres. At the end of 2014, with the approval of the provincial government, a new campus was built in the Vocational Education Park of Lanzhou New District, with a planned land area of 1052 acres and an enrollment of 10,000 students. The planning and construction work is now proceeding in an orderly manner. There are 5 departments, 2 departments and 1 center, including highway and bridge department, traffic surveying and mapping department, automobile construction engineering department, management engineering department, information engineering department, basic teaching department, ideological and political education research department, and continuing education center. 40 majors and professional directions including automobile application technology, logistics management, and computer application technology. There are more than 7,300 full-time students and more than 1,600 adult correspondence students. It has the 24th National Vocational Skills Appraisal Institute and Special Skills Appraisal Station, with a total of 9 appraisal types of work, and trains more than 3,000 people of various levels and types every year. There are Lanzhou Lutong Engineering Consulting Company, Gansu Huitong Highway Engineering Test and Testing Center, and Gansu Xintong Technology Company to carry out road engineering and information engineering design, construction, supervision, test and testing, etc., which complements teaching work and promotes production, education and research. The combination provides students with a broad training place and employment platform.


   In January 2011, the Provincial Department of Education and the Department of Transportation signed an agreement to jointly build Gansu Transportation Vocational and Technical College between the two departments. Establish long-term and stable school-enterprise partnerships with more than 100 companies in highways, railways, land resources, automobiles, machinery, building materials, transportation and logistics, transportation information, aviation services and other fields inside and outside the province, and jointly build off-campus training bases. The various departments of the college actively promote the cultivation of order classes based on their professional characteristics. The Department of Information Engineering cooperated with H3C Company to introduce H3C Network Academy; cooperated with ZTE Corporation to set up the order class of ZTE Telecom Academy. The Department of Automobile Engineering Co., Ltd. cooperated with Chery Company to set up the Chery Talent Training Institute order class; cooperated with Sino-German Nuohao to set up Sino-German Nuohao Class; cooperated with Lanzhou Fuchuan Mechanical and Electrical Company to set up the first school-enterprise co-constructed elevator training for employees in Northwest China Base, set up Buchuan elevator class. The Department of Management Engineering cooperated with Oriental Linghang Education Group to set up aviation service classes; cooperated with Lanzhou SF Express Co., Ltd. to set up SF order classes; cooperated with Baidu Marketing University to set up Internet of Things Baidu e-commerce classes, etc.


In 2015, Gansu Province established 11 vocational education groups, of which our institute led the establishment of two, namely Gansu Transportation Vocational Education Group and Gansu Information Technology Vocational Education Group, in order to promote the development of modern vocational education and promote the depth of schools and enterprises. Integration and close school-school cooperation have taken a solid step. Adhering to the employment-oriented approach, the college strives to develop employment channels for students and has established a student employment security system. At present, employment groups in the northwest, southeast coast, Yangtze River Delta, and North China have been established, with China Railway Bureau, CCCC, Hunan Yonglan Express Group, Gansu Provincial Department of Transportation, Qinghai-Tibet Railway Company, China Water Conservancy and Hydropower Project 55 companies including the bureau companies, Jinchuan Group, Triangle Group, Zhongda Group, Anhui Chery Group, etc. have established long-term and stable student employment and internship cooperation relationships. In the process of talent training, the "multi-certificate" system has been actively implemented, so that the double certificate rate of graduates has been maintained at over 90% in recent years. After more than 60 years of development, the college has cultivated and delivered more than 30,000 outstanding professional and technical personnel for the country and the economic construction of our province. 80% of the professional and technical personnel in the highway transportation industry in Gansu graduated from our college, and the college is known as the transportation The "cradle" of professional and technical personnel.
