Our college is the only public higher vocational college of construction in Gansu Province approved by the People's Government of Gansu Province and registered by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. The college is located at No. 200, Yanjiaping Third Village, Qilihe District, Lanzhou City. It was founded in 1958 and was originally affiliated to Gansu Provincial Construction Engineering Corporation. In 2001, Gansu Provincial Construction Workers Engineering College, Gansu Provincial Construction Engineering School, and Gansu Provincial Construction Workers Secondary Professional School merged to form Gansu Construction Vocational and Technical College. At the end of 2004, the college’s restructuring system was transferred to the management of the Gansu Provincial Construction Department and became a career school owned by the whole people. At the end of 2008, it successfully passed the evaluation of the talent training work level of the Ministry of Education. Vocational College Construction Unit", at the end of 2013, passed the second round of the Ministry of Education's assessment of talent training and the acceptance of the provincial demonstration school construction project. The college focuses on full-time higher vocational education, as well as adult higher education, on-the-job training, vocational skills training and other educational forms. There are more than 6,850 full-time higher vocational students.
The college has 8 teaching departments: Department of Construction Engineering, Department of Traffic Engineering, Department of Environment and Municipal Engineering, Department of Architecture, Department of Construction Economics and Management, Department of Surveying and Mapping and Geographic Information, Department of Basic Courses, and Department of Ideology and Politics; Specialties in construction engineering technology, engineering cost, road and bridge engineering technology, heating and ventilation and air-conditioning engineering technology, and engineering measurement technology are featured, forming civil engineering, transportation, water conservancy, equipment manufacturing, resource environment and safety, electronic information, finance and commerce The professional pattern of coordinated development of 39 majors in 7 categories. The college now covers an area of 312 acres, with a construction area of 182,000 square meters; the library has a collection of more than 448,500 books and 1705GB of e-books; now it has built 14 training bases supported by the central and provincial finances, with on-campus laboratories and simulations.
