Lanzhou City College is a provincial full-time general undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education in February 2006. The school is located in Lanzhou, Jincheng, the capital of Gansu Province, an important place in the Silk Road Economic Belt. It has convenient transportation, extending in all directions and unique geographical advantages.
[History] The predecessor of the school was the Lanzhou Teachers Technical College founded in June 1958 and the Peili Petroleum School founded by New Zealand friend Louis Alley in May 1942. In August 2007, with the approval of the Gansu Provincial Government, Gansu Kindergarten Normal School was integrated into the school as a whole.
【Resources and equipment】 The school has three campuses: the main campus, the Peili campus, and the east campus, covering an area of 505,400 square meters and a building area of 449,700 square meters. The total value of fixed assets is 695 million yuan, of which teaching and research equipment is worth 177 million yuan. The library has a collection of 1,119,400 paper documents, 1 million e-books, 29 electronic resource databases, and a building area of 30,500 square meters. 【Discipline Majors】 The school has 52 undergraduate majors of various types, covering 9 disciplines including engineering, science, economics, management, law, education, literature, history, and art. In 2017, the Ministry of Education decided that East China Normal University would support our school as counterparts and establish a counterpart support relationship between the two schools.
