Lanzhou University is a national key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education, and one of the key universities in the national "985 Project" and "211 Project".
School was founded in 1909. Its predecessor was the Gansu School of Law and Politics established during the New Deal period of the late Qing Dynasty. It was expanded to Lanzhou Sun Yat-sen University in 1928, and was named National Lanzhou University in 1945. After the founding of New China, Lanzhou University adhered to the party's educational policy, adhered to the correct direction of running a school, developed and grew rapidly.
