Wuyishan Vocational College

Founded in 2007, Wuyishan Vocational College is a full-time general higher vocational college invested and established by Taiwanese businessmen, approved by the provincial government and filed by the Ministry of Education. The college has built a garden-style campus covering an area of 500 acres and a building area of 80,000 square meters.


   The college adopts "Knowledge from things, ethics and practice" as its school motto, and "bases on Wuyi, connects the two sides of the strait, serves Fujian, radiates the whole country, and strives to build a vocational college that integrates with the modern service industry" as its orientation. Relying on the world-class business card of the "Double World Heritage" of Wuyi Mountain, actively integrate into the new Fujian economic construction and the great Wuyi tourism economic circle, and build the college into a local vocational college with moderate scale, distinctive features and outstanding advantages. In terms of professional construction, six "one" professional construction goals are proposed, namely: each major has at least one professional leader with a senior professional title from a related industry; each major has at least one on-campus productive training practice base; Each major has at least one school-based textbook co-edited with the company; each major group has at least one intermediate or above vocational skills appraisal institution; each major must cooperate with at least one large and stable company; each professional group must at least There is a cooperation project with a brother school in Taiwan. At present, the college has established 5 professional groups (tourism and catering professional group, finance professional group, tea industry professional group, construction engineering professional group, visual design professional group) according to the demand for skilled talents in the industries of northern Fujian. Open 23 higher vocational majors.


   In June 2009, the college was determined by the Fujian Provincial Department of Education as the first batch of pilot schools jointly run by Fujian and Taiwan. In recent years, the college has actively carried out Fujian-Taiwan higher vocational education exchanges and cooperation, exploring the Fujian-Taiwan "school-school-enterprise" cooperative school-running model. It has successively signed the "Cooperative Education Agreement" in cooperation with Taiwan's Northern Taiwan Institute of Technology, Wufeng Institute of Technology, Nanrong Institute of Technology, Meihe University of Science and Technology and other institutions on the exchange of teachers and sharing of teaching materials. Jointly formulate a "school-school-enterprise" talent training plan and jointly develop teaching materials with Taiwan-funded enterprises, China National City, Xiamen Riyuegu Hotel and other units.


Since its establishment, the college has successively hired Taiwan’s “Godfather of Dining and Travel” Professor Li Fudeng as its honorary dean, Mao Zhengji, Ph.D. in Mechatronics, National Taiwan University, as its dean, and Lin Honghai, Ph. , 3 Fujian-Taiwan cooperation talent classes. Our institute has hosted 5 cross-strait vocational education exchange seminars and 4 Zhuzi cultural exchange meetings. So far, more than 70 students have gone to study in Taiwan, and 20 teachers and administrators have gone to study and exchange in Taiwan's partner institutions.
